not heard back. back to you. . >> thank you. >>> in san jose police are investigating the city's ninth deadly shooting of the year. a man was found fatally shot in the area of murtha drive and capitol avenue. alex savage is live. >> reporter: good afternoon. many on this block heard a loud fight just a couple hours before this man was found dead right here on the sidewalk. police do think that early morning disturbance may be related to this deadly shooting. a neighbor leaving for work made the discovery around 4:25 a.m. this morning. she spotted someone lying in the street. when police got here are to the 2700 block of murtha drive, they found a hispanic man in his 30s who had been shot in the chest. the people across the street heard what sounded like gunfire. >> it's really sad to see how violence has just come up to -- i've lived in san jose since i was 14. >> a police lieutenant told us the victim lived in this neighborhood but it's unclear why he was targeted. neighbors did report a fight in the area around 2:00 this morning and police think there is a connection to the killing.

the suspects could have been linked to an armed robbery in san jose. here's the intersection where the drive-by shooting happened and police were led on a wild chase through three east bay cities late last night. our cameras caught the chase north through 880. police tried to pull the driver other in hayward for dui and reckless driving. but he sped off through san leandro and oakland. the car spun out of control between 580 between harrison and park and police cars slammed into it to box the car in. officers say people were throwing things out on the roadway. they never found the objects but officers did find weapons inside the vehicle when it finally stopped. >> they pursued the vehicle in oakland where it crossed across the center median. the three occupants were taken into custody from there. >> reporter: police believe those three could be tied to a shooting in hayward early yesterday afternoon. a man was driving with his wife and child at tennyson and kalaroga when he was struck by a bullet and taken to the hospital. he's expected to survive. a hayward police officer tweeted around mid

by san jose police is expected to survive. this is the city's third officer involved shooting this month. it happened yesterday afternoon after police stopped the stolen car. investigators say the woman driving put the car in reverse and then drove towards the officers. one officer was struck by the car but got off a shot that hit the woman. the officer was hurt but he will be okay. >>> new night at 5:00 p.m., a break in involving several cases of wine. ktvu's john sasaki sin san francisco and tells us this wine was worth a lot of money. john? >> reporter: frank, that is right. this is a $5 bottle and each bottle was worth 200 times that amount. details are sketchy but it was tuesday that someone broke into this building in san francisco and into fine wines international. they stole 80 80 bottles of wine, more than $100,000. they have been here for more than 30 years. their less pricy bottles cost $20,000 a case and one costs $37,000 a case. police are trying to find out if this was a crime of opportunity or something else. >> when someone breaks in, you never know what they will get and

20s was on the on-ramp approaching southbound 87 in san jose. his car hit the center divide and flipped on it it's side. he had to go out through the wind sheil. he was taken to the hospital. we have no word on his condition. a number of things could have caused that crash including alcohol or distracted driving. >> a 10-year-old is recovering after being grazed by flying debris during a shooting in oakland. she was outside playing when someone down the street started shooting. she was hit by flying wood that was splintered when it was hit by a bullet. >> i know that the community and the police department do as much as they can but the problem is they are doing what -- almost what they can handle. >> nobody else was hurt. no arrests have been made. >> the family of a baby shot thursday in richmond said the 1- year-old is recovering well. a shot spotter recorded that gun fire as it happened. police say 19 shots were fired in less than six seconds outside the home of a 1-year- old officers say the gunman was firing at a man on a bike just outside the apartment complex.
